Bio
Adam Katzen was born in Silver Spring, MD and grew up in the suburbs of Washington DC.
After a childhood spent travelling and exploring, Adam attended Towson University (outside of Baltimore, MD) where he studied philosophy and then transfered to the University of Maryland to pursue a marketing degree.
Adam has continued his education at American University and the George Washington University, both in Washington, DC.
After school Adam took a sabbatical to become a Club Med G.O. and explore the world. Returning home in 1999 he went to work as a marketing assistant at Phillips Health LLC (now Healthy Directions LLC)
Adam grew rapidly at Phillips and in a few short years had been promoted to Senior Marketing Manager in charge of new customer acquisitions.
In 2004 Adam left Healthy Directions to take on a new challenge as the Marketing Director at AIPAC.
In that role Adam built (from scratch) a national marketing program to support the regional offices. In just two years he:
- Increased donation revenue 63% ($12.2 million)
- Grew the donor base by 38% and improved donor retention by 32%
- Saved over $2 million annually by lowering operational costs and renegotiating contracts
From AIPAC, Adam struck out on his own and began consulting. But it wasn’t long before one of his clients asked for all of his time.
In 2007 Adam moved to South Florida and began his role on the senior management team of a small vitamin supplement company called Advanced BodyCare Solutions (www.advancedbodycare.com).
As one of the Vice Presidents at Advanced BodyCare Adam helped:
- Increase average order nearly 60%
- Add $3.2 million in gross sales
- Launch and wrote a weekly e-letter
- Successfully launch six new products
- Increase internet sales 114%
Eventually, living in Florida took its toll on Adam and he decided to move out West where he could be closer to the mountains and his passions – rock climbing, backpacking, mountain biking, snowboarding, kayaking…
Adam now lives in Vail, Colorado with his Siberian Husky. He is an accomplished freelance copywriter, marketing consultant and business builder.
